IPTVisionPro is a pure player. Your own IPTV credentials, playlists, favourites and settings are stored exclusively locally on your TV set (in the app's local storage) and – apart from the direct connection to your own IPTV provider, which you enter yourself – are not transmitted to us or to third parties. Credentials are stored locally in an obfuscated form.
So that the free trial and the later one-time purchase work, the app uses a device identifier (device ID). It is either derived from a device identifier provided by the TV (LG) or – if that is not available – generated randomly on first launch. It contains no name and no e-mail address. This device ID is sent to our licence server to determine the licence status.
| Data processed | Device ID, trial start time (server time), licence status (trial/active/expired), a short unlock code and – after purchase – a 12-character recovery code |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Providing the trial, verifying the purchased licence, protecting against multiple simultaneous use of one purchase |
| Legal basis | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and (f) (legitimate interest in enforcing the licence terms) |
| Retention | For as long as necessary for licence management and provision of the purchased service. Deletion takes place on request, unless statutory retention obligations or other legal grounds apply |
The licence server runs on Google Firebase / Google Cloud (Cloud Functions and Cloud Firestore). The server location is europe-west3 (Frankfurt am Main, Germany). The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Google. The database is configured so that direct external access is blocked; only our licence program accesses it.
The purchase of the full version takes place outside the TV app on a payment page. The seller (Merchant of Record) for the purchase is Stripe (Stripe Managed Payments). Stripe processes the purchase data – in particular your e-mail address and payment data – for its own handling of the sale as a controller in its own right, and is not our processor in this respect. We ourselves receive only the purchase confirmation from Stripe and link it to your unlock code; we do not see the full payment data. Stripe's exact selling entity and its privacy notice are shown at checkout.
| Data processed | E-mail address, payment data (at Stripe), purchase confirmation incl. Stripe transaction ID, unlock/recovery code |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Handling the one-time purchase, invoicing, unlocking and later recovery of the licence |
| Legal basis | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract); tax/commercial retention under (c) |
Details on Stripe's data processing are provided by Stripe and shown at checkout. Where Stripe transfers personal data to third countries, it relies on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
The app is distributed via LG Apps and runs on the webOS operating system. LG Electronics is responsible for data processing by the device or LG Apps itself; LG's privacy notices apply in that respect.
IPTVisionPro uses no advertising networks, no analytics/tracking tools and no profiling. There is no automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise these rights, a message to support@iptvisionpro.com is sufficient. For deletion of the device-related data, please provide your unlock code.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU Member State of your residence.
We adapt this policy when the processing changes (e.g. new features). The version published here at the relevant time applies.
